Full Overview
The Asia Pacific region experienced a 20 percent drop in M&A, private equity, and venture financing activity over the past year. This decline in deal volume can be partly attributed to regional factors, including FDI regulations, and a lack of transparency throughout the dealmaking process. In tandem, the APAC region faces persistent inflation, rising interest rates, and geopolitical shifts.
However, investor appetite is showing signs of growth in APAC’s burgeoning private capital sector, as funds raised in the region in the first half of 2023 are significantly higher than in 2022. Will this still continue to be the case as investors shift away from China-focused funds?
This webinar, organised by the Financial Times in partnership with Datasite, would convene dealmakers to explore M&A activity and trends in the APAC region. The focus of the webinar would be on the opportunities and challenges that would be faced by dealmakers in 2024.
